Saving Elephants…to Save Ourselves

Today is the 10th anniversary of World Elephant Day. This op-ed looks at a solution to our current climate crisis through the prism of two well-covered media stories this week — one a feel-good story (on the return home of China’s wandering elephants) and one a feel-bad story (on the latest UN report on climate). If we work to save elephants and other climate-mitigating species, we’ll have some pretty big allies in our fight.
